CREDENTIALS:
Christianna Herrera has been a chief educational officer, principal, and teacher during her nineteen years in educations. She enjoys taking an active leadership role in designing all aspects of educational programs, including college preparatory, leadership, and character education. Mrs. Herrera has a passion for the philosophy of classical education; this, coupled with a strong desire to share exemplary teaching practices, has led to numerous experiences serving the educational private school community in staff development, administrator conferences, and accreditation teams in a multi-state area.
EDUCATION:
She holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities with a focus on English Literature, including a double minor in Theatre Arts and Art.
INTERESTS:
She and her husband love to travel and enjoy camping in Virginia. She also enjoys hiking, reading, yoga, cooking with her husband, playing some pickle ball and playing with her dogs, Lago, a Weimaraner, and Bogey, a rescue Cocker Spaniel.
AWARDS AND ACCOLADES:
Mrs. Herrera’s school was voted Best School in Colorado Springs and she was also nominated best School Leader in the State of Colorado by her District. She also successfully conducted two-year mentorships with three schools who were in danger of closing. After completing the mentorship program, all three ranked in the top 5% of the state for academic and financial health.
